I've lived across from the hill where SandPipe Hedge rock is located for 23 years. I've taken alot of pics up on the top of that hill in the woods over the years, n decided to collect some of the images I can find together on this blog. The rock was cut n placed on the hill centuries ago, when a large, round, pipe full of sand was located here for village use. The local need for the sand pipe has long since dissappeared. Before the colonists n the pilgrims found this water surrounded village place, it was the summer campground of many tribes of Wampanoag Natives. The area is full of spiritual energy from their souls. A Wigwam where natives still camp n worship the Great Creator's Spirit is located just down the hill a bit. Mystics from all over visit the area to explore it's energies. Many kids sit here on warm summer nights n party. They graffetti the rock, n some trees, n add their own brand of flavor to The Hill.
